Guambianos

Much of Colombia's Andean highlands once belonged to the Guambiano Indians. Herded first onto reservations by the Conquistadors, and then thrown off those lands by ensuing governments, the story of the Guambianos is the story of a people and culture trying to survive.lLike most of the Indians in the world....
I really love how they dress ..

some new ideas...

the photos are really blurry ,because this is a small scale model of it,and also cos i aint good with a camera....,but im making this HUGE in wood,if u dont know what it is,,,well is something we use to make when we were kids ,just out of paper and colours.

me and the Crochet...Doesnt work

Today i started learning how to Crochet, and is really hard ,i think my hands arent made for small things,to many years of hard work with clay ,hamers and plaster doesnt help....
Still i really want to do it and make something out of it!

Makoto Yabuki

Peter Jensen

These pieces are best described as ‘energetic spaces’, adding a dimension to works like Duchamp’s Nude Descending Staircase, which Jansen directly references in his sculpture by the same name. He’s yet to tackle Drunk Descending Staircase. I live in hope.

The art of Fashion exhibition report on DazedDigital

Over the last few decades fashion has drawn closer to art in all respects. Fashion designers use installations and performances to disseminate their ideas, and in turn influence the art world. This September, the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam sees an exhibition revealing the relationship between the two disciplines through the medium of new works of art by five top designers: Viktor and Rolf, Walter Van Beirendonck, Hussein Chalayan, Anna-Nicole Ziesche, and jewellery designer Naomi Filmer.

With five new works as the foundation, associative links will be made with items by designers such as Martin Margiela, Bless, and Comme des Garcons and artists like Christophe Coppens, Nick Cave and Louise Bourgeois. The exhibition throws light on different aspects of the grey area between fashion and art: the fashion show as performance, the pattern as sculpture and the imaginary world of the fashion campaign. Some fifty works will be on display, ranging from avant-garde dresses to installations and sculptures.
